ERMA Seminar
A joint ERMA® seminar was held on 4/17 - 4/19, 2018 at University of New Hampshire.
Goal:
To prepare four-to-five GIS experts from relevant Russian institutions (including the Russian Marine Rescue Service and the Oceanographic Institute) on how to use ERMA. The seminar will help GIS experts understand the value of developing a bilateral ERMA for the Bering Strait and to explain this tool and opportunities for its application to the Russian policymakers. Such background preparation will provide an important contribution to bilateral discussions of preparedness and response at the official U.S.-Russia seminar planned for the fall of 2018.
