This in-person workshop is sponsored by NOAA’s Office of Response and Restoration (OR&R) and the Disaster Preparedness Program, and hosted by the University of New Hampshire’s Coastal Response Research Center.
Dates: January 9 & 10 (Tuesday and Wednesday) from 8:00 - 4:30 PT each day
Workshop Objectives
- Identify merits, limitations and barriers to implementation of current technologies, including case studies/lessons learned, to help ORR meet its missions
- Incorporate survey results for key findings
- Identify cross-NOAA capabilities in remote sensing (e.g., platforms, sensors)
- Identify new tools and technologies in remote sensing useful for helping ORR meet its missions (e.g., AI, machine learning)
- Create a matrix of capabilities of remote sensors for ORR missions
Location
