A Virtual Event
12:30 - 5:00 pm PT
This virtual event, hosted by NOAA’s Office of Response and Restoration’s (OR&R) Assessment and Restoration Division (ARD) and the University of New Hampshire’s Coastal Response Research Center will delve into these renewable fuels to improve understanding of transportation routes, fate, behavior, toxicity, and analytical methods. This workshop will assist NRDA practitioners in becoming better prepared to conduct injury assessments for spills of these types and spill responders are also encouraged to attend to learn more about these oils.
Objectives
- Educate responders and NRDA practitioners in the West Coast region about renewable fuels;
- Increase understanding of these renewable fuels and how they are transported; and
- Improve understanding of the fate & transport and potential damage/impact to the ecosystem.
